His wife sat herself next to him. “John… do you remember?”

A smiled graced her face. “Do you remember us? Can you remember, John? Can you remember us before this happened?”
“May, you know I can’t remember anything past-“
“Try. Please try to remember. For me? Try, John. I know you can.”
